An Interview with
Ralph Greco
What is, in your opinion, the best thing (or your favourite thing) that you’ve ever written? Tell us about it.
I like all the 'stuff' but in my fiction writing I am happiest when I can mix genres. Overall though, I feel my song-writing is truest to what I most feel. And there, as with the fiction (and everything else) I really don't have a favourite.
Who are your favourite writers, and what influences your writing?
Ray Bradbury, Kurt Vonnegut, Mark Twain, Poe (obviously, if you read the poem I have placed with you), are among my favourites. I'd dare to guess that with all writers (even if we don't admit it) what influences us, is what we see and experience everyday and what we dream about.
What are your hobbies?
Reading is my #1 hobby, although to me it's a way of life (not to be too corny about it).
Describe yourself as if you are a character in one of your own stories / poems.
He walks, he talks, he lives in the past so much he set up a house there.
Tell us something crazy.
Social media has destroyed civilisation.
What’s the weirdest question you’ve ever been asked in an interview?
And what did you answer?
“What’s the weirdest question you’ve ever been asked in an interview?”... What’s the weirdest question you’ve ever been asked in an interview?
What is your writing set-up? (E.g your garden shed, a cafe etc) and are there any things you must have to get the words to flow, e.g a lucky hat or a favourite shirt?
I have a desk for my writing in the two places where I scribble on a regular basis. I tend to like quiet, so I can't really write with the T.V. on or even music playing.
